Collector and curator of historical fashion
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!! As we slowly start to add a few things to our calendars, thought you might like to save July 29! On that day, the Old Hastings Mill Store Museum is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the transportation of the store from Burrard Inlet to its current location at the foot of Alma Street!! This building is the oldest one in Vancouver (c1868), and has been sharing our city’s history since 1932. To celebrate the move, and the great gals who volunteered to open and run the museum, there will be a pop up exhibit of women’s fashions of the 1930s. As you may have seen on the news, the museum is currently fundraising to stay open. If you’d like to donate, or want more information go to https://hastingsmillmuseum.ca/ .
Stay safe! Looking forward to getting together again soon!
