If you’re looking for something fun to do on a rainy day, why not check out ‘Home Front: World War II’ at the Mackin House Museum!
World War II took a terrible toll on the men and women who served overseas. While they were risking their lives, a different toll was being taken on those who served their country on the Home Front. Families at home dealt with the dread of losing loved ones in battle, but also with additional challenges. Women needed to go out to work. Shortages of food and materials meant life was more complicated. Pressure was put on all segments of society to support the war effort from home. Coquitlam Heritage will explore these things and more.Tagged:
